Jasper Lake

We backpacked from the abandoned town of Hessie (near Eldora) to Jasper Lake. The hike was moderate, with about 2,000 feet of elevation gain over roughly 5 miles. We had a permit for one of the backcountry sites near Jasper Lake, and ended up camping near the lake's northern edge.
